ROLE: VICE PRESIDENT, HEAD OF MEDICAL AFFAIRS
The role reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer. This role will build and lead the Medical Affairs structure and capabilities for investigational and marketed products, including launches. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional and cross-regional groups to implement and ensure a solid medical strategy for Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and lead a best-in-class, high-performing Medical Affairs organization to support the development and commercialization of Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics products
Ensure systems, processes, and technologies are in place to support the Medical Affairs
Foster an environment of compliance and integrity by ensuring that all activities (both internal and external) adhere to corporate standards and are consistent with local/national/industry guidelines and regulations
Ensure that the highest quality, scientifically and medically accurate, and fair-balanced medical data is contained in all Company generated commercial/marketing materials, scientific publications, medical information letters and responses, and other materials as required.
Maintain expertise on current medical/scientific processes and advancements
Lead advisory boards, patient advocacy conferences, investigator-initiated trials, and early-access programs, as well as HEOR data generation and dissemination.
Establish professional relationships with the medical community and exchange scientific knowledge with key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, principal investigators, physician groups, and professional organizations
Create Scientific Communications function, including Medical Information, Medical Legal Review, Training and Medical Education
Attend external meetings and congresses on behalf of Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics
Support the overall strategic direction of the company, including the assessment of Business Development opportunities
Provide strategic leadership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, US Sales, Market Access, Technical Operations, Finance, and Legal
Partner effectively with Clinical Development
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Neurological and/or rare diseases therapies
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Previous interactions with regulatory, health, and reimbursement authorities
Exemplary leadership skills, including building teams and retaining talented people
In-depth knowledge of healthcare product commercialization
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, with a proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams, involving multi-functional disciplines
Track record of building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Impeccable integrity and executive presence, adroitly gaining trust both internally and externally
Strong ability to analyze data
Self-starter, results oriented
Ability to influence with and without authority
Fluent in written and verbal English with excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
EDUCATION:
Doctoral degree (MD/DO/Ph.D) with at least 12+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs, ideally with some portion of that experience in a start-up or single-asset small biopharma company environments in the US
